ABOUT
Valérie Sabbah has been a pianist, composer, teacher, and creator of musical games since 2012. She currently teaches at the Montessori MIS (Malherbes international school) school in Le Vésinet and the Montessori Les Rayons de soleil school in Maisons-Laffitte.
At the age of 4, she suffered a fracture of the little finger of her right hand at the first phalanx, after it was caught in the corner of a door. It was only during her concerts, having difficulty opening her ring finger properly, that she went to the musician's clinic in Paris, where she was told that she was missing a tendon.
During her school years, she felt it was difficult for her to easily understand everything that was said during classes. Without really knowing why, she had to work harder than others to achieve the same results. But again, it was only in the heart of her life as a teacher that a speech therapist offered her to come and work with her to help the children. Very surprised by the games she proposed, she made her understand that she probably had dyslexia and autism disorders. This diagnosis was later confirmed.
An extremely sensitive child, Valérie was nevertheless very keen to play all the beautiful music she heard...
After studying interior design, Valérie chose to devote herself fully to her first passion, music, which she began at the conservatory at the age of 8.
During her many years of teaching children, she discovered a real interest in pedagogy, particularly with toddlers, as well as children with difficulties.
Trying to pass on her musical knowledge as best as possible, and often finding herself in situations where it was necessary to adapt to each student for the work to be effective, she then began to design musical games for each one.
It was therefore out of personal necessity at first that she created educational tools, which became a real support for her students during her musical awakening classes, which they welcomed with great enthusiasm.
From these very enriching and proven experiences, it seemed necessary to him to pass on his methods through the shop, and for some time now thanks to his training in musical awakening.
His philosophy:
"You tell me, I forget. You teach me, I remember. You involve me, I learn."
